1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Iron Lands ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any applicable Game Rules. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
Iron Lands is a browser-based military strategy game. The Service allows players to build and manage virtual empires, engage in strategic competition, and interact with other players on seasonal and permanent servers. All content, features, and gameplay mechanics are subject to change at our sole discretion.
3. User Accounts
Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are fully responsible for all activities under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
Account Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this requirement.
Account Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability, including but not limited to violations of these Terms of Service.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following conduct:
- Harassing, abusing, insulting, threatening, or intimidating other players
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to gain unfair advantage
- Sharing accounts or allowing others to access your account
- Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Engaging in fraud, scams, or real-money trading outside official channels
- Posting offensive, defamatory, or obscene content
- Reverse-engineering or attempting to access non-public areas of the Service
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
Violations of this section may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action, at our sole discretion.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, functionality, and materials within the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the exclusive property of Iron Lands or our licensors and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without our prior written permission.
6. In-Game Currency and Purchases
Virtual Currency
The Service may offer in-game currency that can be purchased with real money. Virtual currency has no real-world value and is non-refundable, except as required by law. We reserve the right to adjust, revoke, or reset virtual currency balances at any time.
Cosmetic Items
Cosmetic items (avatars, borders, titles) are provided "as-is" and may change or be removed at our discretion. Purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.
Server Wipes
Seasonal servers are subject to complete wipes at the end of each season. Progress, resources, and units earned on seasonal servers are not transferable to other servers and will be deleted upon server conclusion. You acknowledge and accept this condition by playing on seasonal servers.
Refund Policy
All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by law. Refund requests for technical issues or gameplay disputes should be requested within 30 days of purchase.
7. Gameplay Mechanics and Balancing
We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or balance game mechanics, unit statistics, research timelines, resource production, and any other gameplay elements at any time without notice. Such changes are made at our sole discretion to maintain game balance and competitive integrity. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
8. Competitive Integrity
We are committed to maintaining fair competition. We monitor accounts for suspicious activity, including but not limited to account sharing, multi-accounting, and exploitation of bugs. Players suspected of violating competitive integrity standards may be investigated, banned from leaderboards, or have their accounts suspended or terminated.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Iron Lands disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, account suspension, or inability to access the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Iron Lands, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms of Service, your use of the Service, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
11. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting support with a detailed description of the issue.
Arbitration
Any legal action or proceeding related to the Service shall be exclusively arbitrated under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Both parties waive their right to a jury trial and agree to binding arbitration.
Seat, Venue and Place
The seat, venue, and place of arbitration shall be exclusively in the State of Idaho, United States, and the arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator. Judgement on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Governing Law
This Arbitration Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the Federal Arbitration Act and, to the extent not inconsistent, the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason or no reason, including but not limited to: violation of these Terms of Service, unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, or abuse of other players.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
